Lisa’s Birthday

Well, I had a great birthday.   Chris came home early from work and we dropped Ryan off at Carter's house and then caught an early movie: Legend of Bagger Vance...(enjoyable) and then went to RIO GRANDE, a great Mexican Restaurant and ate yummy fajitas. It was SO nice not to have Ryan and Katie was an angel until the last five minutes of dinner.    When we went home the whole family sat on our bed and we opened presents.  I say 'we' because Ryan opened some too.  I got a cute olive green & orange plaid shirt, pants and Chris surprised me with new shoes.  I also got a grey fleece vest, white GAP t-shirt, and potato peeler.  Chris' parents & grandparents got me money for new GAP jeans.   And G&G Walton sent me $10.00 along with Katie's new pink silky blanket.   And, a cute craft and new nice painting supplies from MOM.  So, yes I got very spoiled.  Yea me!

Craft Night

On Thursday I went to my friends for Craft Night.  Friday Chris had arranged for a babysitter for Ryan AND Katie.  We went to the Michael McLean production of FORGOTTEN CAROLS put on by our stake.  It was great and we got a kick out of watching other couples try to handle their squirmy children.  Hee hee.    One day when we're rich (haha) we are going to get a babysitter ALL the time.  Actually by then Ryan will be old enough to baby-sit!

Shenandoah Mountains

On Saturday we went for a LONG drive into the Shenandoah Mountains to a resort called Massanutten.  We had to listen to their spiel and take a tour of the resort but then got a free dinner at the resort restaurant and earned ourselves a free two night three day vacation there sometime next spring or summer.  It was a fun day and the kids were really good.  We listened to a John Grisham book on tape during the drive up and back.

Upcoming Rotation in Georgia

Time is absolutely flying by.  We have less than three weeks until we leave for our Orlando/ Utah Christmas Vacation and our next rotation in Georgia.  I'm starting to feel a little stressed.  It'll be hard to pack for that many places.   I have a list a mile long of things we need to get done before we go.

Thanksgiving

We are having a great big feast for Thanksgiving.  The Chuggs and Seaquists are coming over and I am in charge of the turkey.  My first turkey!  How fun!  It's going to be over at our house.  I need to go get a nice table cloth.  The table will look fabulous cuz we'll use our China and Goblets.  (We use them all the time but it'll be fun to make it really fancy... none of our other friends are able to use their China cuz it's all boxed away OR they don't have any.)  We are each making two pies so we'll have SIX pies for six people.  Sounds great!!
