A Jolly Jumper

  

I couldn’t decide which picture I liked best.  I just love all these classic little Matthew faces. 

Matthew is a jolly jumper.  He spends lots of time bouncing away these days.  Because we have molding around our family room opening and kitchen opening the jolly jumper moves from place to place… wherever the family is.  Most of the time he bounces between the kitchen and family room and gets a good view of everything going on.  When you talk to him in the jolly jumper, he bounces even higher, trying to show off all his best moves, and smiles brightly.  In fact, it’s hard to get a clear picture of this happy bouncer.   

Matthew started sitting up a day after his ‘half birthday’.   A little wobbly but so happy.  Yeah, a blanket, a sitting baby, and a pile of toys… what could be better?

Matthew still loves hanging out with Mom and Dad at night.  It’s our traditional bonding time.  He hits the sack between 9 and 10:30… we are trying to put him to bed a little earlier.  Maybe then I’ll go to bed earlier… I doubt it.  Matthew usually wakes up once in the night for a midnight snack.

Matthew just started rice cereal and loved it from the first bite.  He looks like a baby bird when he instinctively opens his mouth for the next spoonful.  It’s adorable. 

Matthew does lots of cooing and ‘buzzing’ of his lips.  He rolls back and forth and all over the place. He loves to be thrown up in the air.  He still munches on one little finger in his mouth.  No teeth yet!  He always smiles and giggles. 

He really is the most smiley baby!!!  Can’t believe you are already 6 months old, Buddy.
