My name is ‘Doot’.
All about me at 2…
- My name is Doot. That is how I say Luke. My family thinks it’s so funny.
- I say ‘mom’ or ‘dad’ after EVERY sentence. My parents think it is SOOOO cute. ‘Ok, mom’
- I’m silly. I think I’m so funny. I like it when other people laugh at me being silly.
- I love chocolate milk. I mean I REALLY love chocolate milk. If I think Mom has tried to trick me and not put the chocolate in then I get pretty ticked and say ‘chocdit’ and then mom either opens it to show me or just leaves it on the floor and walks away. I try it when she’s not looking and it’s always chocolate. She loves me. I like juice too. Not water. Not milk. I ask for a ‘reef’. That means ‘drink’. This was one of my first words. I can say a ‘d’ sound so my family tries to get me to say ‘d – d – drink’ and I say ‘d – d – reef’. I love my ‘Me Mou Reef’ the best. It’s a sippy cup that has Mickey Mouse on it with a green lid. But I like to be the one to pick which ‘reef’ I get. Sometimes the ‘blue car reef’, sometimes the ‘dawdo duck reef’.
- I LOVE my ‘Diedo Show’… (Go Diego Go) along with baby jaguar, and backpack, and click the camera and Dora, and Boop (Boots) all of which I can name… in my own way.
- My other favorite shows are: Dora the Explorer, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Backyardigans.
- I like to see the picture on Mom’s camera after she takes a picture of me.
- I love to flip the screen around on Dad’s video camera so I can watch myself being videoed.
- When I think something is funny I like to ramble on about how funny it was. Long long sentences with lots of smiles and laughing. It makes everyone laugh.
- I like to sit on my knees when I get in my high chair. Every time my mom or Dad puts me in then I ask them ‘knees?’ and they usually say no. But I still ask.
- I’m not the best eater. I like some things, like cereal, waffles, and sandwiches but you still never know when and if I’m going to eat them.
- Mom and Dad are totally amazed at how well I understand ‘This and then That’… If I don’t want to do something then they say… ‘Luke, change pants and then book, change pants and then book.’ I stop and listen and then do whatever they tell me to do because I know I get to do whatever I want after.
- I wear converse shoes everyday except Sunday. I have blue ones and brown ones. I love my shoes.
- I love having a baf. Whenever I walk into Mom’s bathroom and see the tub I think I need to have a bath. Mom lets me have a bath all the time since it ‘keeps me busy’ and lets her sit at the computer. I like to swim by putting my arms on the bottom of the tub and letting the rest of my body float. I love it when Mom leaves a little dribble of water coming out of the faucet so I can fill up cups and let my bath toys have a shower.
- I love my collection of little animals. I have a ‘mommy and baby’ set of each animal. I love all of my animals but I really love my ‘rebra’. I usually pick an unlikely pair to hold in each hand and play with for the day. Mommy always says ‘Where’s your animals?” and I go running to get them out of my cupboard in my room. I like lining them all up too.
- I love to say ‘Fooball’ every time I see Daddy watching football on TV or if I see one whenever we are shopping. Dad always holds a football during BYU games so I always want to play catch. I have a pretty good throw too. Really, I like all kinds of balls.
- I am generally nervous around ocean waves.
- I don’t really want to sit in my stroller but my mom keeps me buckled up all the time. Shopping is not fun.
- I love to say family prayer. I am getting really good at saying the prayer. I listen and say the words after Dad. I say ‘Dank ou Famie’ (Thank you family) ‘Dank ou Daddy… Dank ou Mommy, Dank ou Ya-ya, (Thank you Ryan) Dank ou Dadie,(Thank you Katie) Dank ou Emmy, (Thank you Emily) Dank ou Bebe, (Thank you Megan) Dank ou Doot,(Thank you Luke) Dank ou Baby (Thank you Matthew). Daddy tells me to say ‘Thank you Matthew’ but I just always say ‘Dank ou Baby.’
- After the prayer we always say NO EMPTY CHAIRS. It’s our family motto. I am always really excited to do the handshake and say it. I always bounce up and down and scream CHAIR! Sometimes I shout ‘YEAH, MOM!’ after we’re done. It’s very exciting. Then I like to do the handshake again with everyone in the family.
- I love to be outside. I really really really love to be outside. I love putting my shoes on because I think I’m going outside.
- I love jumping on the trampoline with my brother and sisters.
- I love swinging on the swings. I love climbing up the rock wall.
- I love wandering around the backyard picking up pine cones.
- I love drawing on the cement with sidewalk chalk.
- I love riding Emily’s jeep around the backyard even though I don’t know how to steer it.
- I love Bup and Wooey (Buzz and Woody)
- I like to run to the bathroom and stand in front of the sink to get my hair done.
