Miscellaneous Life–January to April
Cute Katie selfies and New January charts ready to go!
Emily doing her homework at the kitchen table as soon as she gets home from school. At her Middle school they issue iPads for every student. It’s amazing to watch her nativate, write, erase, clip, move and shrink so so fast. It’s pretty amazing. All of her homework is done on her iPad.
I was playing hide and go seek with Matt and surprised him around a corner – with my camera! : )
Emily doing what she does best… READ on her bed…
Hanging out with the Richins…
A few pictures of Matthew at school during my volunteer shifts. So fun to see what kinds of things he does in stations. Love all the computer, Smartboard and iPad stuff they do. Fun learning! And look and all the notes he takes about different inventors. He has the neatest printing!
Goodbye old washing machine and dryer who stopped working all of a sudden…
Just for fun… Matthew, Ryan and Katie
Megan’s 5th Grade Pirate Musical. Boy, this girl makes me laugh. She had quite a few funny scenes that made me laugh out loud. Cute girl and cute friends – Aliya and Brynn
A January sunset…
The Youth Face to Face with Elder Rasband… Breakfast and broadcast.
Megan’s 5th Grade All State Choir… They rehearse weekly with the music teacher in December and January and then spend the entire Saturday at the Broadmoor with a guest instructor and end with a performance. She auditioned and was one of four girls who made it from her Elementary School.
Katie planned a surprise birthday party for one of her best friends, Gracie. So fun!
Matt stayed downstairs for the surprise and hung out with the teenagers for awhile but when I asked him to come upstairs and get ready for bed he was so sad. He really feels like they are his friends as well. Seriously offended.
When Chris and I got back from our Hawaii trip with Jared and Geneva then this was on our door and over our bed. Such cute kids we have!!
New favorite game… Castles of Burgandy…
Surprise Valentine treats for my kiddos as Chris and I headed off to Cabo for the weekend with the Johnsons…
Impromptu haircut the morning I got back from our trip to Mexico… “Chop it, Mom!”…
Fun Valentines from our cute cousins…
Katie’s Winter Choir Concert
February Calendar…
Doctor’s appointments for Ryan’s Mission Papers! – skin biopsy and Wisdom Teeth out…
His four wisdom teeth came out in about 15 minutes. I just barely left him and went to go sit in the lobby and then they were calling me back in. He was pretty out of it with all those meds so it was hard to open his eyes, but when he did he kept saying, “I feel really nice.” and “How long was I asleep?” over and over and over again. He didn’t do anything too embarrassing – just “this is the best nap ever” and “I want to do this again” and “I feel really nice.” I got a few video clips. Pretty funny.
New favorite lunch thanks to Trader Joe’s Balsamic Glaze!…
6:45 in the Girls Bathroom…
Katie driving home from soccer practice every day… A couple weeks of Indiana Jones movies non-stop…
Chris working on taxes…
Heading to the musical ‘Newsies’ downtown Denver with the Jacksons during Spring Break (just after flying back into Denver from Grandpa’s funeral) …
Ryan’s ASK to Prom…
Ryan getting his Prom answer from Tenley… ‘Lex’ Do It – after just going to the Batman/Superman movie with him.
Yvonne sending her usual German chocolates package to me at Easter time…
Congrats package from the Seaquist Family with treats for the whole family after Ryan’s Mission Call… she’s the best!
We had quite the sickness going on in March and April. Poor boys were so weak…
I volunteered helping with the Elementary School Carnival again this year. I was Megan’s auction basket representative and gathered stuff for ‘Backyard Fun’ for Mrs. Craddock’s class. Then I helped set up games and decorations stringing cellophane wrapped balloons that looked like giant candy across the round entry way. The Carnival is always really well done and earns so much money for the school. Emily volunteered at one of the game stations with Caroline. Megan ran around with her friends and I hung out with the boys. Fun!
Ryan writing in his journal – and you can see his Question & Answer book on the floor. He’s a recorder! – or at least he has been lately!
