Million Dollar Highway
Just 15 minutes into our drive and I had to pull over and take a picture of this view. Gorgeous. Today’s adventures were to go from Telluride over to Ouray and then Silverton driving on the Million Dollar Highway.
Box Canyon Waterfall and Hike - Ouray, CO
After the canyon waterfall we followed a trail up over the mountain. Before too long it started to pour and so we raced under this little shelter and waited for awhile. Ashlyn and Dallas joined us, only Dallas wanted to get soaked. So cute watching Ryan help little Dallas. We got separated from the rest of the crew, but did some hiking on our own up and over the canyon bridge and through the tunnel. Great little stop.
Love this one of my three girls.
Views from the Million Dollar Highway
What an amazing drive. I wanted to take pictures at every turn and the new view around every bend. Oh…. I did. I came away with so many pictures — but like most taken from a moving van, they can’t quite capture the reality of this amazing drive. I wish I could have stopped more frequently but it was a long day trip already and we just didn’t have the time — PLUS some areas of the highway are quite precarious and you really can’t stop anyway.
Cascade Falls
On the way home Chris and I decided to stop at one more waterfall and everyone else headed home. I’m so glad we stopped. It was an easy walk to the falls and the kids had so much fun playing around. Good memories.
I just love all of these cute Megan pictures! Such a cute little 11 year old.
The kids had so much fun playing in this water run. Lots of splashing, jumping and laughing. A great last excursion before heading back to Telluride.
