June Misc–Cub Scout Camp, Healthy Eating,

A busy month for sure.   Mike and Carly here for a week.  Katie taking a course and studing for the ACT.  Young Women’s Temple Trip.  Cup Scout camp.  A Lake Powell Trip.  Ryan’s birthday (sent a pile of cards to him!!)  Pride meeting for Bob’s new UNITED team.  Orthodontist appointments.  The Girls Camp Musical ‘I have Learned for Myself’ with Katie and Emily.  Chris’ National Guard weekend.  And GIRLS CAMP at Camp Firewalker.

Lots of healthy eating going on in June.  Here’s what a typical Costco basket looks like… and my new favorite Greek salad.  We are trying really hard to reduce processed foods.  Fruits, vegetables, whole grains and brown rice, organic tortilla chips and salsa and bread from Great Harvest Bread Co.  We love it!!

Mike and Carly sold everything and are heading on their Walton Adventure around the world – starting with Colorado Springs.  They stayed with us for a week in June before heading on to Utah, Vancouver, Hawaii, New Zealand… etc.  So fun to finally meet baby Whitney.

‘Faith in God’ Day Camp for my Cub Scouts  -  They had a great week building bird houses and trebuchet, doing service projects for the incoming refugees, doing relay races, practicing archery,  learning karate and so much more.  Thank you cute Stake leaders for putting this on.

A tired afternoon for Matt.  He fell asleep on his giraffe in the loft right by me as I sat at the computer.  Cute boy.

An unfortunate elastic band color choice.  She wanted Kelly green but the lady but on NEON green.  As soon as she got back to the van she said, ‘Mom, we’ve GOT to switch this.  I can’t live like this.’  They got her in later that day.

Group date for Katie and friends – put on by the girls this time.  They took food to Fox Run Park and played volleyball and had a great time.
