Puerto Vallarta - Playa La Lancha and Si Senor

We spent the first few hours at our resort, getting in the pool and ordering ‘free with our resort charge’ Virgin Miami Vice’s (half strawberry daiquiri and half pina colada). Sadly, we took Jon and Megan to the airport for their flight home and then continued north to a ‘local’s beach’ called Playa La Lancha. We parked by the street, walked over to the XOXO to grab drinks and double chocolate caramel magnum bars… (Chris and I are a sucker for magnum bars while on vacation) and then we hiked through the jungle about 10 minutes to get to the beach. The beach was as great as I remembered. Ali kept saying, “Thank you for bringing us here!”

Pete and Chris body surfed for a long time and then we sat in the sun and talked for hours - about parenting and experiences growing up. When we were hungry, we gathered our things and walked back through the jungle and then drove a few more miles to Punta Mita.

Punta de Mita’s main street is kind of fun. Love this wall of surf boards along our way to Si Senor.

Si Senor

Chris and I had been to this restaurant before and I was anxious to get back to it. Such a fun colorful atmosphere, cool menus and great food. The Theurers loved it as well. I ordered sweet shrimp tacos and they were so good. And of course fresh guacamole made right at our table!

After lunch we wandered the streets of Punta de Mita - Ali testing out a hammock and then we found the cutest shop full of little pom poms. I wanted to buy all of them but settled on some navy poms.

San Francisco

Then we headed off to San Francisco where we bought and played with Hacky Sacks, enjoyed the sun setting at the beach, and walked the streets. Loved this little town. Good memories!
