Walton Week - Via Ferrata - Telluride, CO
Doing the Telluride Via Ferrada was definitely the coolest thing we did this week. Mike had started a discussion with the boys and they arranged to have climbing and safety gear for four people. Each morning Mike and three others would head up the Black Bear Pass Switchbacks to get up to the Kroger Via Ferrara trailhead. Then, clipped in we would walk and climb along the path. It was unreal. The first day Mike, Dan, Chris and Chris Silva went. The next day, Mike, Carly, Brian, and Ryan. The last day Mike, Amy, Scott and Elisha. I didn’t think I wanted to go - a mix between being nervous and so many other people that wanted to go, but on the last day after our hike with Dan and Sarah we met up with the Mike, Amy, Scott and Elisha just as they were finishing. Mike suggested that Chris and I just take the stuff and stay to do it. I couldn’t pass it up and I’m SO glad I did it. It was amazing!!
