Disney World - Hollywood Studios

We started Monday morning at Hollywood Studios and were there before the gates opened. This morning and every other morning my camera would fog up getting it out of the camera case. Heat and humidity would be our constant companions this week. Boy, was it hot! About 95 degrees every day and even at 8:00am we could feel it. Let the fun begin!

TOY STORY LAND

Toy Story Land - one of the cutest areas of Hollywood Studios. So fun to just walk around and notice all of the themed details.

We loved the new Slinky Dog Dash ride. It was our longest wait of the day at 40 minutes — but a fun ride!

Pizza Planet Alien ride for the kids. Chris and I just can’t do spinning rides like that anymore.

Top scores for the Woddy’s Round-Up Ride… First: Chris, Second: Cassie and Third: me! Love this ride!

Disney Treats

We gave the kids a $50 Disney Gift card for Christmas so they could buy whatever treats or souvenirs they wanted. Most of the time the kids opted to share so they could try more treats and save their money. Matt decided on a few shared treats but mostly saved his money searching for the perfect Disney or Star Wars hat. These traditional ice cream Mickey’s were one of the favorites. And I think the ice cream sundaes were at the top too!

Hollywood Tower of Terror

We LOVE the Tower of Terror. Even Megan, who usually skips this ride came with us and I think enjoyed it! We rode it at least 10 times. We just wish this one was renovated to be the Guardians of the Galaxy Ride like Disneyland. Regardless, it’s so fun!

STAR WARS LAND

It was so fun to explore Star Wars Land at Disney World. We unfortunately didn’t see any storm troopers walking around because of the COVID restrictions, but it was so fun to wander the streets and see the different space ships, shops and fun food. It’s design is perfect.

At 6:55am we had gathered in the living room to try and get tickets for the new Star Wars Experience: Rise of the Resistance. We got in within seconds of 7:00am and were able to reserve our ride without any problem. So nice to have fewer crowds this week!

The ride was so great. Immersive, long, funny and well done. So great.

Matt really wanted that little Star Wars creature up there but ended up holding off and on the very last day bought himself a new Star Wars hat. The bottom right picture above… Our Star Wars Shirt crew… Dad, Luke, Megan, Ryan and Matt.

Last time we tried Green Milk so this time we tried the Blue. Megan is not that thrilled.

Loved walking around these cool streets and shops — and especially this cool alleyway. What a day! The park was open from 8:00am to 9:00pm and we stayed the whole day.
