Emily's Last Choir Concert

Sadly, not the best year for Emily’s last year of Choir. When she wasn’t quarantined or doing online school she enjoyed being involved in Festival Singers (the top mixed choir at the school) and in her all girls a cappella group - Nuance, and occasionally meeting up with the boys a cappella group - Fusion.

It was so fun when they announced that the Choirs could hold an End-of-Year performance. Our only concert of the year.

This year each different choir held its own concert. They had hoped that it would take place outside but with a rainy afternoon they moved it inside the auditorium and the singers sang with masks.

I got a little emotional as the performance started. So happy to see my Emily doing what she loves. Sad that she’s missed out on so much this year but so grateful for this night.

Festival Singers sang 12 songs. Nuance sang two a cappella songs - one in which Emily’s good friend, Riley was the solo! - and two a cappella songs with Fusion. They did such a great job.

A few snapshots of Emily’s a cappella group, Nuance, singing ‘Love Fool’ and ‘Landslide’. With Fusion they sang ‘That’s Christmas to Me’ and ‘I’m Yours/Somewhere Over the Rainbow’.
