Kauai, Hawaii - Poipu Beach

We spent most of the afternoon at the Resort hanging out by the Salt Water Lagoon. Chris and I are equal adventurers and relaxers. We’re happy with a mix of both!

We had dinner at a fun place by Poipu Beach. Chris ordered shrimp tacos and I decided that one of the appetizers looked good. Three mini pulled pork sandwiches. They were delicious! …and such good sweet potato fries.

Poipu Beach

This Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle was the first one on the shore when we arrived just before sun set. I remember having seen one or two last time we were here but we didn’t know anything about the large group that have started beaching here overnight. Two Turtle Guides walked around and answered questions about the turtles and created boundaries to keep them safe. It was fun to watch this guy use his front flippers to move the sand close to his body.

A second turtle lay in the shallow water by the rocks below.

One of the few pictures of the two of us together… on the aloha tree trunk. Such a beautiful beach.

As the sun set more and more Sea Turtles made their way to the beach. We watched for quite a while. By the time we left there were 21. It was really neat!
