How my Family Works
Let me tell you how my family works together. I do a chart to get my age of money. It says to clean my room that is sometimes really messy. Also, it says to wash my feet after soccer. It says to do homwork and reading. Mom cleans the kitchen and does my hair that grows long. Dad goes to work to check x-rays and he is a doctor. Katie, Emily, Megan and Luke are the kids that clean their rooms too. They get their age of money by charts also. They do the dishes in the kitchen too. Now you know how my family works together.

My Emotions
This is my emotions in specials. In art I feel easygoing because I draw stuff like animals on paper. In Music I feel really excited because I get to play instruments. In Library I feel relaxed because we read our books during quiet time, or we do centers quietly. In Physical Education I feel amazing because we get to play and learn new games like, ‘Who let the dogs out?’ In Chinese I feel lively because we learn new Chinese words! That is why I love specials.

My name is Matthew. I am a poet,
I wrote this poem just to show it.
And I’m almost 8
I like playing outside. I actually am not a poet.
I like playing tag outside. I like running laps at school. I ran 70 laps. I am so fast when I run laps outside.
I am done, so leave. Actually keep reading cause I am actually not done. Now I am done so now you can stop reading.
I am Good at…
I am good at dancing, tackling, running fast, playing, being funny, sports and eating.
I dance like a rock star. I run like my brother, Ryan. I tackle like a wrestler, I’m as funny as my family. I eat like a chipmunk. I play like everybody.
How I feel…
That is my feelings.
October Artwork…
Matthew received the Student of the Month for October – Responsibility – which he earned as voted from his classmates. In November he earned a commendation of Positive Behavior.
I am Thankful
I am thankful for my family because they are nice to me, love me and they are funny. I am thankful for a store named Target because we get to buy things and there are samples. I like baseball because it is cool and fun. I am thankful for my grandma because she does treasure hunts and gives me candy. I am thankful for Chinook Trail because we learn and because of my awesome teachers, Mr. Beck, Mrs. Brooks, and Ms. Young. That is what I am thankful for.
If I were an Elf – written in December 2016
If I were an elf I would hide in a family’s home and they would fine me at Christmas time. I would also go to Santa and help Santa put presents in the houses. I would have freinds that are Santa’s Elves. I would be very small. I would have naps after Christmas because I would do lots of wrapping and putting presents in family’s houses. My name would still be Matthew. I woul read all the wish lists and tell them to Santa. That is what I would do if I was an elf.
Important People – written in February 2017
These are important people in my life that I love. I love my mom because she buys me clothes so I look good, and she makes dinner like spaghetti, which is my favorite. I love my Dad because he gets us more money from work, and he pays the money for vacation, like Germany. I love my brother Ryan because he served on a mission to teach Albanian people. I also love Ryan because he helps Luke and I to not fight. I love my sisters, which are Mega, Emily, and Katie. Meg and Emily play house with me. Katie helps me with my homework when I come home from school. I love my brothers, which are Luke and Ryan. Luke plays games with me like Lego, and Ryan plays the Wii U with me that we got for Christmas last year. We play it in the basement. I love workers because they built my room and house. Now you know important people in my life that I love.
I loved this bag that Matt decorated one day. A German flag, a United States flag and an Albanian flag.
May writing:
I am going to tell you about a giraffe that can talk to me. Once I woke up and then we went to the zoo and I saw a real giraffe but he talked to me in a low voice and said, “Hi Matt!”. It was creepy but cool. I said, “Hi” too. Then I got on his back and it was really fun. After that we some some other animals, but then we went home. That is the story about how I could talk to a giraffe.
