Trip to Canada–White Rock Pier and Vancouver Date
Friday was a slower paced day, which was nice. We decided to take the kids over to the White Rock Pier and hang out on the grass close to the beach. The kids played out by the water, and then climbed the big white rock. Dan got some drone footage and Chris and I walked all the way out to the end of the Pier. Then we hung out on the blanket and ate some snacks. Not too many pictures, just some nice relaxing… and then waving to the train as it went by.
After the beach, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa’s hosue for a big afternoon BBQ. Then, much to the excitement of all the little kids, we left them all at home and took an adult only trip into Vancouver. Seriously, they were so happy to not have to leave the house again on another excursion. They really just love to hang out and be together.
Dad, Mom, Dan, Sarah, Mike, Carly, Amy, Chris and I parked downtown and then walked to Canada Place where we enjoyed the ‘Flying Over Canada’ ride. Then we headed into Gastown, checked out the famous steam clock and shopped in some of the cute touristy stores. Chris got a Vancouver shirt from G&G for his birthday. It was so fun to wander without kids… makes us all think we need to go on another cruise. We ended picking out which totem pole we wanted in the Totem Pole Store. Dan, Sarah, Amy, Chris and I then drove a couple blocks and found a little pier to check out with more great views. I love Vancouver.
