Visiting the Silvas in California

It was so fun to spend the weekend with Amy and Chris and see their little place in Modesto, California.

Amy (and baby Sam) picked me up at the airport and we headed straight for the coast.

We parked the car on the side of the road and headed onto the rocks to walk around. Such a great temperature - even in November.

After the sun set on the water we headed into town and had dinner at PFChangs. Lots of good conversations and lots of making little Sam laugh. It was so fun.

We slept in a quaint little hotel nearby. Fun to be hang out just the two of us.

Point Lobos

In the morning we had breakfast at the hotel and then headed up to Point Lobos to hike. Beautiful ocean-side trails overlooking the water. Again we headed out on the rocks to explore around. The kids would love this.

Carmel-by-the-Sea

After hiking we headed into the cutest little sea-side town to grab some lunch and walk around. We found a busy bakery and enjoyed delicious sandwiches. What a fun town with cute stores and boutiques.

We walked a couple blocks down to the ocean and walked and talked with our feet in the sand.

Back in Modesto

After our 24 hour girls retreat we headed back to Modesto to see her cute house and spend time with Chris and the kids. Fun to eat, talk, go to church and play games with them.

We headed to the park on Sunday night to take family pictures, which was super fun.

So grateful to spend some one-on-one time with Amy and her family. Jane, Peter, Ali and Sam are the cutest. So fun to get to know them a little bit better.
