Steamboat Springs
Day One: We came to Steamboat Springs on Thursday night and it has been a great weekend. Friday was a beautiful sunny day. We went for a long walk to 2 different waterfalls in the morning. Then we took our picnic lunch to a park by the river and ate. Then we rode tubes down the river for about an hour. We only had 3 good tubes so we did it in 2 shifts. Mom and the girls went first, then me and the boys went. It was a blast and so refreshing on this warm day. Then we went to the pool for a while and then out to the Taco Cabo restaurant for some yummy burritos and tacos. Then we taught the kids Settlers and ended up playing it twice during the weekend. Day Two: Saturday was a bit more chill. Mom and I went to an "upgrade" meeting for our timeshare and ended up buying some more credits so we will have more access to additional resorts and enough credits to use them on an annual basis. We feel like it was a smart decision in the long run.
We went up on the ski mountain and rode the "Mountain Coaster". It was very expensive but was a fun activity. Then we spent more time at the pool, ate a good dinner in our condo, then walked around downtown Steamboat Springs for a while including a free outdoor concert and then a short visit to watch the new Mary Poppins movie outdoors up on the mountain. Then the kids went back to the pool from 9-10pm while Mom and I booked some places to stay in Portugal for our upcoming trip. (written by Dad to Katie)
Day Three: We found a local ward and went to church… then we came home and did family church, made a great dinner and played games all evening. It was so nice to have a relaxing day with each other. And then ice cream!
