Norway Cruise - Boarding and a Sea Day

We slept well… almost 11 hours straight. 11:00pm - 9:30ish We got up and ready and met Brian and Terri in the lobby for some lunch - which was really good.

Jared and Geneva showed up exactly when the driver did. We loaded all of our luggage in the back of the huge black van while a curious Asian lady took pictures of us. No idea why, but it made us laugh. I guess it was a lot of luggage. We drove the hour and a half from London to the Southampton Cruise Terminal.

The boarding process was smooth and we checked into our rooms and unpacked a bit. Nice rooms and great balconies.

We sat on the deck with Brian and Terri as we cruised out of Southampton.

This Norwegian Cruise Ship had the coolest spaces and seating areas. We especially loved this Library area and the open glass elevator that showed multiple levels. It was gorgeous.

We headed to the buffet for a late lunch. Chris ordered two Winnie the Pooh drinks from the bar but they were out of Strawberry Daquiri Mix so the bar tender made something up with grenadine in the bottom and mango on top and it because a favorite fo the week. Chris and I loved it.

We enjoyed our first dinner of the cruise in the ships largest dining room. We enjoyed a table with a view and a staff that soon memorized our favorite drinks and our names.

Chris, Doug, Brian and Jared played games in the sports lounge while the girls and I wandered the ship. So excited to be cruising.

Sea Day

Our first full day onboard was a SEADAY. We exercised, changed into bathing suits to enjoy the solarium and hot tub, ate lunch at the buffet, headed to the spa for a 3:00 massage, watched Deal or No Deal, and then got all dressed up for dinner. So fun to be here with this crew.

After dinner we changed into comfy clothes. This is a view from our room’s balcony. One of the things we had to get used to was how late the sun set every night.

We headed to one of the ships lounges at the front of the boat and competed in multiple trivia games - in which Doug knew most of the answers.
