President Nelson's 100th Birthday

Several weeks ago I read ‘Prophets See Around Corners’ by Sheri Dew and just today finished ‘Insights from a Prophet’s Life: Russell M. Nelson’. I already thought that our dear prophet was an amazing man, but after reading this powerful and uplifting book about his life, I now know it. What a truly remarkable person. Reading about his life and seeing how he was prepared and tutored to be an apostle and prophet was an absolute privilege.

Sheri Dew ends the book by saying… “One of the greatest gifts our Father and his Son has given us, and one of our greatest mortal safety nets is the gift of a living prophet.” And for that I’m truly grateful.

Happy Birthday President Nelson

Our Stake hosted a watch party for the 100th Birthday Celebration Broadcast. Luke, Matt and I joined the Farnsworths at the Stake Center to watch the broadcast and then stayed afterwards for ice cream. It was fun to hear tributes from President Nelson’s great granddaughter, his daughter, President Oaks and President Eyring and so many more.
