The Crack Shack and Corona del Mar State Beach

We had a fun lunch at this restaurant in Newport Beach called ‘The Crack Shack’ recommended to us by Dan and Sarah. It was a cool place, the food was great and the bean bag toss was definitely a hit. We played several games.

After lunch we headed to Corona del Mar State Beach - which was fun. The kids played in the water for awhile - even though it was a bit chilly - and then we walked along the water to check out some tidal pools amid the barnacle covered rocks. The kids were fascinated with the sea anemones.

Back to the resort to hang out at the pools. The water was heated so the kids were perfectly happy to get in and play. I grabbed a couple of towels to put over me sitting on the side.

We had dinner back at our Condo. Chicken salad croissantsDad picked up Ryan from the local airport and brought him back in time for dinner. Fun to have him with us for the second part of the week. We headed over to the resort pool for a night swim and to hang out in the hot tub. Then we watched the first episode of THE MANDALORIAN. Ryan had already seen it but wanted us to hurry and catch up. It’s fun to have him with us!!
